Patrick Maguire, vice-président, développement et exploitation, États-Unis

Patrick is responsible for development, construction and operational activities. Prior to joining Mainstream, Patrick worked with Airtricity where is primary role was managing the operational wind farms. Under his management, this portfolio increased from 15MW to over 400MW in Ireland and the U.K. Patrick also worked with Airtricity in the U.S. setting up its operational business. He is a Chartered Engineer with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from Trinity College, Dublin.

Steve Dowdy, Vice President, Power Marketing

Steve is responsible for leading the company’s energy and renewable product origination and structuring activities in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining Mainstream, Steve was Vice President, Strategic Origination and Development for Calpine Corporation, a major USA-based Independent Power Producer. He has over 20 years of cumulative management experience in the energy industry. Steve earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.

Saad Qais, Vice President, Corporate Finance

Saad is responsible for the acquisition, funding, and disposal of projects in the North American business. Prior to joining Mainstream, Saad was at ABN Amro Bank in Chicago focused on origination and execution of structured fi nance transactions in the power and energy sectors globally. Saad has a BA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Matt Boss, Development Manager, Midwest

Matt joined Mainstream in 2008 and is responsible for development activities in the Midwest. Previously, Matt gained global experience at BP in their wind team where he supported their entry into the U.S. market, as well as India and Europe. Matt has a Joint Honors Bachelors degree in French and Management Studies from the University of Leeds in England.

Bruce Thompson, Manager – North American Sales Consultant

Bruce is responsible for energy and renewable attribute sales in North America. Previously, as Vice President at Airtricity, he was responsible for originating and executing hedge agreements, PPA risk analysis, settlement and reconciliation of wind energy and REC sales. He has a BA Chemistry from Wesleyan University (1983) and a Finance MBA from The University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business (1987).

Dan Schumann – Senior Development Project Manager

Dan commenced employment with Mainstream in July 2010 and is primarily responsible for wind development in the Midwestern US, with a present focus area of Ohio and Indiana, Michigan, W Virginia and Pennsylvania as areas of future interest. A secondary responsibility is to contribute to solar development efforts in the US.

The majority of Dan’s working career has been in building construction. He began as a carpenter, studied design, operated a design/build company for the residential market and worked for several years as a public building official. In the past five years he has been involved in wind and solar development providing services to both   European and US developers.

Dan is a skilled tradesman, with a Bachelors of Environmental Design.  He is an experienced negotiator and manager within the US wind industry and experienced site acquisition manager for solar PV projects in OH and NJ. Erik Underwood, Development Executive, Midwest Erik supports the current U.S. project pipeline, primarily focusing on Mainstream’s projects in Illinois. Erik graduated with honors and holds a B.A. in Economics, Government and History from Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT.

Sean Doolan, NA Transmission & Market Analyst

Sean’s responsibilities include overseeing grid interconnection on a regional basis, transmission cost and project modeling, and macro market analysis. Prior to Mainstream, Sean worked for EnvaPower, a power price-forecasting fi rm in Boston, MA, where he was a lead analyst specializing in the Midwest ISO on the day-ahead, real-time, and weekly markets. Sean graduated from the University of Michigan in August 2007 with a Major in Economics.
